| Sailing was a complete success from start to finish. Just before starting, though, we had a little incident regarding boat batteries and leavings lights on. As such, it cost me about $110 to get the boat out on the water, but anyone who was there can attest that it was totally worth it. It was a beautiful day to be on the water, the finest I've seen in years, and this may have been the best weather for the Wooden Boat Festival I've ever seen in my life.
Pictures taken before seeing the Lady Washington on the water (as opposed to moored at Union Wharf) were taken on the Friday of the weekend. All other pictures are Sunday pictures, including my view from Ryan's couch as I completely abandoned all grasp on reality. I spent the next hour in a kind of lucid dream; I had control of it and myself, but I didn't understand where I was.
I write this, barely conscious, from the saftey of my warm and large bed. If I remain awake, it'll be a very half-assed awake. The kind where you lay there, looking at something quite random, your lower jaw maintaining some small degree of distance from your upper lip and your eyes looking in two slightly different directions. I suppose, technically they always do, if you think about it.
Obviously I have no right to use a keyboard right now, so I'll stop. Thank you everyone for all of your parts in this lovely weekend. Enjoy the rest of it, I'm done with it.
